A u/s on 11/7 showed the gestational sack at 5 wks.(which is what I thought it should be dated at).However, the u/s tech couldn't find anything in the gestational sack which I have heard is normal this early, although some say you should see a heartbeat at 5 weeks gestation on a u/s. They are having me do 2 hcg tests to see if its a viable pregnancy or a blighted ovum. Naturally I'm scared out of my wits. The tech also said I have a pregnancy cyst (I think that's what she called it) by my ovary which she said is a good sign of a viable pregnancy. Can you have this cyst and still have only a blighted ovum? And what should you see on a u/s at 5 weeks gestation? Also, with a blighted ovum what do the hcg levels do?
