Dear Colleagues:

Each year, Resource Pathways publishes a new edition of its guidebook, "Having Children: The Best Resources to Help You Prepare," which evaluates and recommends resources in all media on the subject of having children (pregnancy, infertility, adoption, etc.).

To ensure our resource reviews and recommendations benefit from the input of professionals in the field, each year we solicit input from a select group of 8 - 10 professionals with extensive practical experience in the subject addressed by each of our guidebooks. This group we call the "Advisory Council" for the guidebook; we include their brief vitae and attribution in the guidebook, with our thanks for their contributions to the revised edition. Of course, we provide a free copy of both the existing and revised guidebook to each Advisory Council member.

The input we solicit is focused on our resource recommendations, as well as the editorial content of introductions to each subtopic (eg. "solutions for infertility," "pregnancy," "childbirth," etc.). We also welcome suggestions for new resources we should review, as well as suggestions for improvements in how the guidebook is structured and how various subtopics are organized.

This email is our solicitation for new Advisory Council members for the 2nd edition of our guidebook focused on having children. If you are interested in contributing about an hour of your time to provide us with your suggestions for improvements for this edition, please respond directly to me, the Managing Editor, using the email address noted below. Please do me the favor of providing me with a brief description of your experience in this field, to help ensure that I put together a diverse group for this year's Advisory Council.

I will follow up within a week with an email requesting your mailing address, so I can provide you with a copy of the current edition and a more detailed description of the input we're looking for.
