cesarean birthFrom: Opal (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 27 Oct 1998 09:08:24 -0600 (CST)
My first birth was preformed by cesarean and I was planning to have this one VBAC. My currant Doctor tells me I am not a canidate because of drastic, vertical, insissions made by my first doctor. When I questioned my first doctor about this...he tells me not such cuts were made...He tells me that when doing the lateral cut (bikini)...I had vertical tears at the ends of that cut and he double sutured them and firmly believes in my ability to go VBAC. He is in Atlanta, GA and I am in Fort Worth, TX. I can't go back to him. I trust and have faith in my current Doctor and don't know what to do. Do these lateral insissions tear at times? Is this common? and do women still go VBAC afterwards? Thank you for you time. I am 35 weeks and would be most grateful for any response.
