prescription drug usage while pregnantFrom: kyla (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 26 Oct 1998 13:32:04 -0600 (CST)
My doctor doesn't have a decisive answer for me. I'm clinically depressed and have been taking Zoloft 100mg a day for 3 years. Recently I found out I was pregnant, and discontinued taking the zoloft. However, I'm finding myself slipping back into an uncontrollable depression that I can't alleviate. Everything seems very hopeless, and I don't even want to get up in the morning to shower. I cry incessantly. Please advise as to whether it would be harmful to the baby to even take a smaller dosage of Zoloft, such as 50 mg. I have a healthy pregnancy and am in good physical condition.
