Results may vary from day to day and some people are borderline. Together with the APA (or ACA - anticardiolipin antibody) should be done a lupus anticoagulant (LAC) >Is it possible that I didn't start the aspirin in enough time for it to

Possible. Also, heparin 5000IU subcutaneously twice a day has been usede in some people together with the low dose adult aspirin.
