Is labour imminent?From: Sian (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 12 Oct 1998 10:29:14 -0500 (CDT)
Hi to all I am currently between 35 and 36 weeks pregnant. This will be my second child. Over the past few days the baby has been more active than usual and I have felt an increasing amount of quite strong Braxton Hicks contractions. The baby's head is engaged, by the way. Is this an indication that the birth may be closer that I might otherwise expect? I'm somewhat confused as I have read that false alarms are more common with second or subsequent labour but also that the head usually engages later than 35 weeks, second time around. Thanks in advance for any thoughts that you might have.
