Hi Andrea, { Disclaimer: I am not a physician. The info below is based on personal experience :) } Usually supplemental progesterone is begun a day or two after ovulation. Is your doctor aware that you and your hubby are attempting to conceive? If so, I would have thought s/he would have prescribed the progesterone already. If I were you I would go to the doc's office in the morning and have blood drawn for a serum pregnancy test. This can detect pregnancy as early as 7-10 days after ovulation. If you are not pregnant, yes, progesterone can delay your period for a few days. And no, it cannot give a false positive. The pregnancy test is sensitive for human chorionic gonadotrophin (HCG) so extra progesterone in your system will not alter pregnancy test results. Best of luck to you. I hope you *pass* your test !
