Dearest Doctors, I know magnesium sulfate is commonly used to prevent siezures in patients with pre eclampsia/toxemia/pih. I have a client who was hospitalized for toxemia and received that in the hospital but was sent home on muscle relaxers to prevent the siezures. Is this common practice? Wat are the risks to mom and baby. Can this trigger labor?

Thanks again!
