CVS or Amnio?

I am 43 years young and nine weeks pregnant. Next week we will have to decide about prenatal testing. I am very interested in what you have to say about CVS or Amniocentesis. What would you recommend and why? What are the risks? With CVS, what would be safer, vaginally or abdominally?

I am very worried about the risk of losing this (very long awaited) pregnancy, but would also like to have the worry of something being wrong being taken away. And thus *really* enjoying the rest of the pregnancy!
