The three most likely cuases are; 1) That the measurement is inaccurate and there is nothing wrong 2) That you have a large baby 3) That you have excessive fluid around the baby 4) You may have a fibroid that has caused an incoeewct measurement (That is assuming that ou have already had a scan and you know that you have only one baby not 2 or 3!) 1) Measurements of fundal height are very inaccurate. They vary with different people measuring and even with the same person. 2) Some women just have large babies and there is nothing wrong. However, as you mentioned diabetic women can have abnormally large babies. 3) There are numerous causes for excess fluid and rather than causing you concern by mentioning them all perhaps we could discuss this if that is what it shows. 4) Fibroids occur in 20% of women and must be considered normal.
