fundus measures large, with preeclampsiaFrom: Jaye (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 17 Sep 1998 10:43:53 -0500 (CDT)
I'm 29.5 weeks pregnant, diagnosed 2 weeks ago with high blood pressure (143/93), proteinuria (500mg/24 hr), and general edema...rest is keeping the bp under control. I've measured 1 week large for the past few months, BUT now I suddenly measure 5 weeks ahead, for each of the past couple of dr. visits. Ultrasound is scheduled, but I understand they're quite inaccurate in the 3rd trimester, so far as guessing size and weight. The scan at 20 weeks showed all measurements right-on for dates. Glucose test, hemoglobin, liver & kidney blood tests are all normal. Any thoughts as to why I've had such a quick increase in size? I thought preeclampsia was likely to result in smaller measurements. --Jaye
