variable luteal phaseFrom: Kim (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 1 Oct 2003 16:57:04 -0500 (CDT)
Hi, I have read from various books/websites that the lenghth of a given woman's luteal phase seldom varies. However, for the last three months, I had consistent folical phase (13 days) and varied luteal phase, 15 day, 12 day and 17 days respectively. In each case I knew I ovulated and on which day: i used an opk kit and had same mid-cycle cramp/pain. Does this variation in luteal phase indicate any problem? Could anyone please clarify this for me? By the way, I was off the pill for 8 months after 14 years on it and has had regular periods for 8 months. Thanks.
