Trying to Get Pregnant and BulimiaFrom: Nancy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 1 Oct 2003 10:37:00 -0500 (CDT)
I am 27. Married. Trying to get pregnant. I have been on Lo-Ovral birth control since I was 19. I went off it in July. I did not get my period. IT concerned me. I also used to be severally bulimic and it concerned me. My doctor said I was fine and that I should relax and wait. So I did and it did not come. So he gave me Provera and 7 days after the pills ended I got my "period". It was the lightest one I have ever gotten- not even one day long and the blood was bright red. THen 35 days passed without anyhting- and again my doctor said that was fine and normal. Then the 36th day I got REALLY light bleeding if you would even call that. What is going on? Is that my period- does that mean in 2 weeks I will be ovulating and we can try to get pregnant? I am frustrated and excited. I am stressing myself out. I just had hoped I would go off the pill and get pregnant witin a few months. MEanwhile I cannot even get my period so I cannot be ovulating. Any words of strength. Is my doctor right that this is all totally normal and it will eventually come? Ar there any foods etc.. vitamins that will help bring on my period? THanks!
