Re: Do Hemorrhagic Cysts Cause Anovulation and Hormonal Changes? From: falco (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 30 Sep 2003 18:43:42 -0500 (CDT)
If this helps - I had a hemorhaggic cyst, 5 cm., starting symptoms on Jan. 10 of this year, which caused symptoms (pain and weakness) right up until around the end of June, and by July 17 I had a positive pregnancy test. So in my case, the cyst didn't keep me from conceiving. Amazingly to us we successfully conceived for the first time (after 8 years of married life!) despite the health challenges of the cyst. It can be done! I think that the closeness that the health problems brought into our relationship, which resulted in us having much more frequent intercourse, actually helped me get pregnant. Which answered the question, "WHY ME?" Good luck to you!!! By the way, the only things that helped me cope with the cyst were hot-tubbing, (which you do want to limit if you are trying to get pregnant) and drinking tea with honey to provide energy. Otherwise it was a brutal time; I hope that you are getting along alright.
