I have heard from many women that BCPs (birth control pills) or any of their counterparts can do different things to your menstrual cycle. My sister has been on depo for several years and has not had her perios. My husband has told me that he had an ex gf who bled constantly.

There's the same dose every day of the month except for the placebos when you have your period. ... and then there's the tri-cycle type, which is supposed to adjust to different levels to coincide with your menstrual cycle.
