Jen - I'm pregnant with my 3rd and hoping for a successful VBAC too. My first was induced because he was thought to be over 9 lbs. He ended up being 8 lbs. 3 oz. I got him out though(4 hours of pushing) 18 Hrs. Labor total. My second was a C-section. My big whopper was 10 lbs. 3 oz. and BREACH! Plus the cord was around his neck twice. This time around I've been researching ALOT. There are some really serious risks with a VBAC. And yet I'm finding that there are still some higher risks with C-sections. From what I've heard the least amount of drug intervention is reccomended. ie. No pictocin, epidurals etc. Being induced really works your uterus. I got stuck at 8 cm and the other problem was that my little man haden't even dropped. Most of my pushing was pointless. It was like a vacuum. As for bringing on labor naturally they say frequent sex and walking helps (But not too strenuous). But even if you do deliver at term there is no guarantee that you wouln't end up with a bigger baby. Look at my history. And I had really healthy pregnancies with avg. weight gain. I think it's best to just wait until we get further along and monitor the babies size. And see how much you dialate and thin towards your due date. Good luck to you and I wish you a successful VBAC.
