Hi I am wondering - is it possible for the fetus to die in the 2nd trimester without any bleeding/pain/signs? I have had 3 1st trimester miscarriages & I am now 16wks. I know I am probably being stupid worrying but I don't seem to be getting any bigger, ligament pain has ceased & now m/s is over there are no signs for me to know everything is ok. From what I've read I thought that if the heart stopped beating in 2nd trimester you would know about it fairly soon (unlike in 1st trimester when it can take weeks for bleeding, pain, etc) but my dr just told me that you can have a missed miscarriage in the 2nd trimester. Is this true? I had a scan at 13wks all was fine.
