Hi, I am just starting my 39th week of pregnancy. Starting yesterday evening, I have been having severe lower back pain (mostly on the left side). I started to think that maybe I was in early back labor, but it has been 15 hours or so and it hasn't progressed. The pain is most severe when I move. Walking in particular is excruciating. In addition, I had diarrhea a couple times last night, but I do not feel as if I am sick or have food poisoning. I do not have a fever. Any idea what this could be? I have had sciatica and other back pain sometimes during this pregnancy, but nothing this severe. It feels as if my lower back is being ripped in half and I also have a stabbing pain. Thank you.
