'Eggwhite' cervical mucus -- or lack thereofFrom: MB (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 11 Sep 2003 21:58:02 -0500 (CDT)
I'm trying to conceive my first child. I never ever get stretchy, so-called "eggwhite" cervical mucus (I do check internally). At most, my cervical mucus gets sort of wet and a bit more clear, but it's hard to tell. Does that signify a problem? I did actually get pregnant in only my second cyle trying (so it would seem I could get pregnant without this cervical mucus), but I miscarried at 5.5 weeks. Could the miscarriage be related to this? Maybe an estrogen problem of some sort? Also, I never really have dry or sticky cervical mucus, either right after my period or after ovulation. In fact, for a few days after ovulation (I chart my temperatures and take ovulation predictor kits, so I'm pretty sure I ovulate), I get tons of creamy consistency cervical mucus.
