2 yr old Repeat Csection incision Pain...pls Help!From: Pam (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 5 Sep 2003 17:10:05 -0500 (CDT)
I had a repeat csection 2 yrs ago (august 01) and still have alot of pain at the incision site. It feels like an elastic band type of feeling pulling all the time. If I exercise the pain becomes more pulling sometimes experience burning sensation at incision site. The scar is doesn't look like it is opening, but I am not sure why I am still Experiencing this. I can feel my scar without even looking or touching where it is. My Dr brushes it off saying it is all normal. I have what I call a speed bump above my incision, which I think all women who had csections have..cannot even exercise with abs or doing situps dueto pain from pulling it interferes with activities I am doing & burning sensations. The pulling & burning continues if I pick up my children too often. I didn't overdue it while recovering. I am not sure why this persists but I want to know what i can do about it...My children are 4 1/2 and 2, and my incision stillis troublesome. My friend the only other person Iknow who has had longterm pain from her incision as well has recently told me her incision opened up after 4 yrs after delivery her son---now I am thinking she only had 1 kid, so nochance to see if it would open during a 2nd pregnancy & mine held up for my 2nd pregnancy...but it is a scary thought & I am constantly checking to see if has opened. I don't want to live my life with my incision always bothering me & pulling & burning. The incision felt alot better at 6 wks than it has now... Please advice. Thank you for your time. I sincerely appreciate it.
