I am 2 cm dilated and 50% effaced as of my 36-week checkup today (2nd pregnancy). In addition, I have been having rather frequent BH contractions throughout my pregnancy. (A few days ago I had 7 per hour two hours in a row before they went back down to my normal 3 to 4 an hour.) My husband has a trip planned to go out of town for a couple of days a week from now ... we were thinking we would be safe at 37 weeks, but now I'm wondering. Any opinion? And do the frequent contractions mean anything one way or the other as far as things happening sooner? If it matters, I am 42, borderline GD, and the baby is measuring big.
