28 week u/s - large brain ventricleFrom: Arla (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 2 Sep 2003 11:18:56 -0500 (CDT)
Hello, I had had an ultrasound at 18 weeks which revealed a simple small choroid plexus cyst. The doctor ordered a follow-up ultrasound at 28 weeks. During this time we moved out of state. I just had this follow-up level 2 ultrasound at 28 weeks and 2 days. WHile the cyst has resolved, the doctor says that the left brian ventricle of the baby was close to the upper limit and has ordered a follow-up ultrasound in 4 weeks. She also mentioned that the ventricles were usually larger in boys than in girls (this baby is a boy). I am very worried now. What does a large brain ventricle mean? Will it create any complications for the baby? Is this something to worry about? Any insight would be truly appreciated.
