Dr. Braun Please read my ? re: gestational sac! Thank you!!!!From: Mandy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 31 Aug 2003 23:31:57 -0500 (CDT)
My 6 week ultrasound showed a gestational sac that was NOT perfectly round - it looked as if it had a dent or was falling in. I had brown spotting and cramping for 2 days before the U/S, but none since. I am also taking 1 Prometrium tablet in the morning and 1 in the evening for a low prog. level. They did see a "faint" heartbeat - they did not give me beats per minute. They did not mention seeing a yolk sac. Please... is there any correlation between mis-shaped gest. sacs and chromosomal problems with pregnancies or do most go on to be healthy pregnancies with healthy babies? What might be the cause of a gest. sac to become deformed? Thank you so much for your time, Amanda
