I'm 36 wks pregnant & while being at the "miserable" stage of the end of pregnancy, I'm having a "burning-like" feeling on my left side under my stomach?? This feeling is not constant, yet when it comes, it comes & goes like contractions.. I guess?. I'm not sure if they are contractions or what, but they hurt for aprox 15-45 seconds at a time & then slowly go away.. I've been having this feeling for about a week now. I'm due Sept 27. When I have this feeling, I call the doctor on call, usually ends up not being my "regular" doctor & he says there is nothing on my left side, not my apendix, doesn't sound like contractions, see my reg. dr & have urine checked.. says it could possibly be weight of the baby stretching muscles. I see the dr Wed.. but since today is only Sunday.. that seems so far away..especially when in pain. Does anyone else experience this pain & what exactly do contractions feel like?
