Hi, I am 6 weeks pregnant and had my first OB appointment. During this appointment I had a herpes outbreak. (Had herpes for 10 yrs) The doctor did a pap smear, internal exam, group b strep test, among many other things. I told him I did not think it was a good idea for these internal exams with speculums while I was having a herpes outbreak. He said it was fine. I am concerned about him spreading the virus into my uterus. Am I right or is he?
