Paula

First let me say I'm sorry it didn't work for you. I hope I can be of some help. I am 32 and went through 2 rounds of IVF myself

The first time we did a 5 day blastocyte transfer. My doctors were confused when I was negative b/c I responded so well to the meds and my embryos were of good quality. The only thing they could think of was that they embryos didn't make the transfer from lab to uterus. They "maxed" out on their growth in lab environment (apparantly our left over embryos stopped developing the same day as my transfer).

This 2nd time (which was successful) we did a day 3 embryo transfer of three embryos and did assisted hatching on 2. I'm now 32 weeks pregnant with 1 baby girl.

Also, stress has a lot to do with it. My first time was spent worrying, working at the office, working out at the gym, and keeping friends/family updated. My second time we didn't tell anyone anything and I stayed away from work for 3 days after my transfer. I limited myself on my movement and housework, and stopped working out as well. I stayed away from negative or overbearing people as well (including my mom and mother in law HA HA).

Best of luck on your next time around - try assisted hatching and take time off.
