I was a heavy drinker (even more than 6-8 beers and hard stuff too)(not proud to say) from teens until I found out I was pregnant at 29. I was three weeks pregnant when I found out. I quit drinking and smoking as soon as I knew. My baby was healthy and is the light of my life (going on eight years old). Try not to worry. Drinking heavily later in the pregnancy can cause much more damage. I am sure there are a lot of women who were drinking before they knew they were prgnant. Now that you know and are commited to doing the right thing for your baby is what matters.
