As long as you are having periods, you can get pregnant. You should take a pregnancy test to be sure, but I would be surprised that you would have symptoms so soon. Sounds like a stomach bug to me. If you don't want to get pregnant at 49, you should use some sort of birth control,perhaps a vasectomy for your husband.
