fistulizing crohns and pregnancyFrom: adrienne (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 26 Aug 2003 10:52:58 -0500 (CDT)
I am 35 years old and have no children. I have had crohns disease for 15 years. The fistulas are a recent think that has appeared. They are linking my vagina and the anus. I have been taking Remicade or Infliximab since January 2003. It has calmed my crohns but has not healed the fistula. I have recently heard that pregnancy may assist in healing the fistulas. Do you know if this is true? I have recently been married and we would like to have children. You cannot get pregnant on the Remicade. I would like to take myself off of it and try pregancy. Any comments.
