Lost a tube to endo.From: Abby (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 24 Aug 2003 10:46:20 -0500 (CDT)
I have a few questions about endometriosis and one tube. I had a HSG test done and my left tube is blocked. That is where I had an ectopic pregnancy treated by the shot on April 28. I had laparoscopy done to unblock the tube and ended up finding out that I have endometriosis at age 30. The dr. said he burned or lasered it all and removed part of my left tube because it was very bad there. I also had some endo. on my right ovary. I never had any symptoms of endo. I have irregular periods, but from OPK's I am almost positive I ovulate 14 days before my period. The time between my period and ovulation varies month to month. 1. Will I still ovulate from the right side even though he burned endo. off of it? 2. Is there a way to know which side I am ovulating from? Would ovualation be different from the right side because the endo. was there? 3. Any chance of another ectopic with the part of the left tube still left over? 4. He said I had mild to moderate endo. How fast will it grow back? 5. Is there anyway to stop it from growing, other than being pregnant? Thank you very much in advance.
