Tara,

With both of my pregnancy I had cramping during the first trimester. My doctors assured me that it was normal because my uterus is stretching. As far as the ER visit, if it was an ovarian cyst you need to have a follow-up with your OB about that, if it was severe gas...there are safe medications for you to take, if it was appendicitis...they shouldn't/wouldn't have let you leave the hospital. If your baby is fine via ultrasound, you might just be experiencing stretching like I did. Just report it to you doctor if you experience and spotting or bleeding whith your cramps.
