I am so sorry that you're having such a rough time...your doctor will be able to tell you more about your particular situation, but from someone who had a miscarriage (I was 8w but measured 5.5) it took about 2 weeks of bleeding until it was over. It was a rough 2 weeks because we were still hopeful (no blood work was done on me, only ultrsound). The bleeding started brownish and very slight, then became heavier and as the weeks went on became pinker then red and heavy. There was quite a bit of clotting as well and finally after a rough day of extreme cramping it was over. You didn't say that you were bleeding yet, so I'm not sure how it will work for you. You might want to ask about the possibility of a D&C (I know nothing about it). Emotionally, if you do miscarry, take good care of yourself and surround yourself with caring people and lots of love. I'll never fully "recover" emotionally, but things do get better with time. I am pregnant again (3 months after the miscarriage) and not a day goes by when I don't think about the last pregnancy. Take care, cry, and make sure your OB takes care of YOU right now.
