Ativan, Xanax, etc. Another question for DR.From: Glenda (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 11 Aug 2003 14:51:59 -0500 (CDT)
I was jsut about to ask a similar question but I'm starting my third trimester (29 weeks). I was in treatment for anxiety 4 years ago and was prescribed Paxil for 6 months and took a .25 mg Xanax from time to time as needed. I have been off Paxil for 2 years and off Xanax for 1 year...however in the last week I've been having mild anxiety attacks again. Last night I had a full blown attack. I don't have a current prescription for Xanax or Ativan currently ~ Is there anything safe to take in the third trimester for sporatic anxiety attacks? FYI My last prescription was for 15 pills which lasted me a year and a half. I only take them when absolutely necessary where behavioral modification therapy doesn't work.
