bacterial vaginosisFrom: Elizabeth (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 10 Aug 2003 14:51:54 -0500 (CDT)
a few years ago I had alot of itchiness ( down you know where) and I thought that it was a yeast infection. I had gone to the doctor after the yeast infection cures did not work. The doctor finally diagnosed me with bacterial vaginosis, the creams and pills did not work and I was frustrated. He informed me that most likely by the time I was in my late 30's it would most likely disapear. Since I was in my early 20's I was really upset at this prospect. I went to the health food stores to get some advice and I was sold a very exspensive yeast buster kit. This was a mixture of pills and liquid that I would be able to take to lower the bad yeast in my system and replace it with good yeast. However I would need to maintain a strict diet and that was really hard for me. I have a friend that has a degree in Medical Microbiology and she suggested that I buy some ACIDOPHOLUS and take that ( also a component in the yeast buster kit) She suggested I take the pills orally and open the capsules mix with some water and put it down there as a paste. IT WORKKED!!!!! I don't know if this info will help anyone but if it does I am glad. IF anyone suffers from this I know how frustrating it is so give it a try
