I went to the doctor and he said I have tinea versicolor. He perscribed a selenium sulfide lotion, but told me he was not sure it was safe to use because it is category C for pregnancy (i'm 5 weeks along). The fungus is spreading very rapidly and I am hesitant to use the selenium lotion because my doctor was so unsure himself. Does anyone know what would be safe to use during pregnancy or will I just possibly be a very spotty mom in 8 months. Thank you for your help. Any input is greatly appreciated!
