PAPs have all been normal, I have had negative pregnancy tests post pregnancy, the urine tests in the office have all been negative (though yesterday they said that the urine was very diluted), I am in excellent health (no previous disorders except for annovulation). I just don't. This time around seems different, though, because I tested again today (with two different brands measuring higher levels) and both were positive. I read somewhere that LH can be a factor - have you heard anything about this? Gavriella Dear Gavriella, You answered some but not all the questions so I'll be more specific. Did you have a pelvic examination yesterday, any signs of pregnancy? Your urine test at the doctor's yesterday was negative, did they test for contaminants like protein and/or blood, UTI's, you did say the sample was diluted so it may not have been concentrated enough to register the HCG, same if confounded with contaminants. Were your tests today done with 1st am urine? Did you call your doctor? What kind of HCG test and when, qualitative/quantitative/amount? You say you are healthy, but do you have ANY allergies, reactions to medications, on ANY medications and/or OTC?, now or in the past? Have you been tested for antibodies, some types of antibodies interfere with accurate HCG testing and may vary over time? Have you had your thyroid checked? If for some reason serum-HCG is false-negative and/or you still get positive HPT's then a transvaginal Ultrasound @5weeks post mittleschmertz symptom may show something,at least check again for cysts? Get both urine(1st am)and serial-quantitative serum-HCG <US. Marie At Thu, 7 Aug 2003, Marie wrote: Dear Anonymous, There may be reasons for both false-negative/positives. Since you don't have a period adds to confusion and tests several months ago only prove some things, eg.(not caused by cyst)but nothing certain about most recent negative-serum test....
