yeast infection/diflucan/nystatin vs. untreatedFrom: anon (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 6 Aug 2003 14:14:04 -0500 (CDT)
I am 36 weeks pregnant with my first baby. My doctor thinks I may have a mild yeast infection and has prescribed Nystatin mouth wash and Diflucan tablets. I have been reading some disturbing things about taking these drugs during pregnancy, and although I trust my doctor's judgement--I am wondering if there is really any harm in me just leaving the infection untreated? It doesn't bother me that much and hasn't gotten worse in 2 weeks. I have ~4 weeks until delivery. Any advice appreciated. Thanks!!
