If the checkup shows all is well then all is probably well. HOWEVER, I would get an electrician in to fix that outlet before you have something far more serious and dangerous - an electrical fire inside your walls.

Be sure you pick up some of those outlet pluggy things too.... better yet, there are some new outlets on the market that have them built in.
