+HPT 6 weeks after D&C?From: Sharon (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 2 Aug 2003 14:43:00 -0500 (CDT)
I had a D&C at 10 weeks on 6/24 (what I'm calling CD1) By CD17, I was still measuring + on an HPT from I guess the residual HCG. By CD19, I took a HPT and it was clearly negative. Then, on CD37 I took another HPT because I was expecting my first period by 6 weeks after D&C, and I had gone over that. We were not trying to conceive and according to my charted temperatures, we didn't have sex anywhere near the date of ovulation. But, my temps were really all over the place, and I guess I may have ovulated at another time in my cycle. I also had a blood test on CD37 that came back as "5". Is this even considered positive? I will have another one tomorrow, to see if it goes up. If it does, would you say that this is a new pregnancy and not associated with the D&C? If it is, are there any risks to the new pregnancy considering I never had my first period after the D&C? Thank you...Sharon
