Re: How will I know I am in labor - if contractions don't hurt....... Please everyone......From: Shinta (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 1 Aug 2003 15:00:46 -0500 (CDT)
Actually i had my first baby January this year and had a similar experience, my water broke in the middle of hte night and when we got to the hospital i was 6 cm dilated already and was having regular contractions but could not feel any pain, only felt the usual balling up of uterus as i used to feel weeks before the day my girl was born ( she was a month early too).. i believe even those were contractions.. i thought that was the baby moving! anyway i started feeling some pain only when i got to 9. So if you think it is the real thing, just go to the hospital and get it checked, even if you have tomake many trips, that is better than not getting there on time!
