depressed......dr's please answer......From: Sheri (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 31 Jul 2003 16:12:18 -0500 (CDT)
I've been seeing a fertility dr. for one month - he prescribed clomid beginning day 4 of my cycle - after two ultrasounds the dr. indicated I had a good response to the medication - (4) follicles in the right ovary and (1) in the left. I had a post-coital test today and it was observed that my cervical mucous was thick and would be difficult for the sperm to get through - (I also had repeat blood work done). My dr. said he would probably plan artificial insemination for tommorow or the day after based on the results of my bloodwork. I just received a call from my dr's office - I was told that my bloodwork revealed a "high" progesterone level and that the dr. canceled plans for the insemination due to "disordered ovulation". I had such high hopes since the Clomid appeared to be working. I'm supposed to call with my next period. What would have caused a high progesterone level and is it worth trying Clomid again if this is the response I had. Thank You for taking the time to read this......
-- Thanks so much -SF
