Seeking help!!

I am at the end of my pregnancy and have been trying everything to speed up this end process. I have been having false labor for one week now. I was on meds from 27 - 37 weeks to stop contractions and now I can't seem to make labor work. I've done nipple stimulation but become quite bored after one hour of it. I usually do a couple of hours a day but 1 hour here, one hour there. WHile they bring on contractions - it's not enough. We've been having sex every night just about to help out as well. My doc keeps telling me to come in when the false labor happens but I just know it's not the real thing. I know I'll know.

Any advice on what next. Is there a proven method/secret to the nipple stimulation? Does anyone know how you can check yourself for dialation to see if it's occuring? Like a home self exam - sounds kinda gross I know but a lot easier than traveling 40 minutes to the hospital.
