Wow! That's a mean-spirited answer to this post. Why don't you reconsider your words anonymous?! My situation is a bit different. I had a problem with postpartum depression and thought I could "shake" it off on my own. I was doing fine until we found out that our dog was sick and we decided to have him put down. It was really sudden and knocked me for a loop. I saw my family doc. because I couldn't cope with everything and he prescribed Effexor. I feel wonderful now. Losing a pet is sad because they become part of your family. I also had a miscarriage and an ectopic pregnancy, so I know that the pain of losing a pregnancy is terrible and with everything you are going through it's a really good idea to talk with your doc about antidepressants. Good luck and don't let this anonymous person's comments hurt you. Ignorance is bliss for some people I guess!
