Mild bleeding and abdominal pain since 10 daysFrom: lorie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 16 Jul 2003 07:20:29 -0500 (CDT)
Hello doctor, I conceived with IUI and am 13 weeks pregnant (with twins). About 10 days ago I had leg cramps and abdominal pain followed by mild bleeding. My doctor administered some injections for about 5 days to stop the bleeding. The ultrasound scan revealed that there was some fluid collection in the lower pole of the first gestational sac (it seems because of mild placental separaton). Few days later I passed the clot out with bleeding again and now the bleeding has stopped. I still have mild leg cramps and mild lower abdominal pain. My doctor suspected that it is a case of threatened abortion. Also I was told that the placenta is low for one of the sacs. I am advised lot of rest for some more time. This sounds so much complicated to me. Can you please explain in some simple terms what this is and what care should be taken by me? Thanks in advance, Lorie
