Prometrium question relating to symptoms/side effectsFrom: Sandra (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 4 Jul 2003 08:20:34 -0500 (CDT)
I am currently 5 weeks pregnant with my second child. I got my first positive HPT at 11dpo, which was ten days ago. My OB started me immediately on Prometrium 200mg twice daily for a total of 400mg/day, so I have been taking it for ten days now. I began to feel symptoms almost immediately... nausea, tender breasts, fatigue. Starting about three days ago, my symptoms diminished. My stomach no longer feels queezy, and my breasts are not tender. Of course, the lack of symptoms has me concerned. Is it possible that the early symptoms I was feeling were actually side effects of the Prometrium rather than pregnancy signs? Does a patient's body become accustomed to the dosage so that the side effects are lessened? Or should I be concerned for this pregnancy? Below I have listed the blood work results I have so far. Thank you in advance for your input.
