Hi, I believe 37 weeks+ is considered full term. My son was induced exactly 3 weeks early (and I was sure of my dates because I was on injectibles), and he was 8 lbs. 14 oz. I am small boned and am glad my dr. didn't let me go any longer because I may have had trouble with delivery. My son had a 10 apgar, and was perfect. Most 37 weekers will NOT go to NICU and are not considered preemies. What amniocentesis are you talking about? Why would they do one before an induction?
