Well, first of all, if you have weekly transvaginal scans that can increase your risk for infection. Digital exam, is an exam through the anus. That won't cause any infection directly to your cervix but it could cause a systemic infection. I agree with what your OB said. Sorry I can't help you. Good luck to you
