I didn't allow the dr to check me internally with my 2nd & 3rd pregnancies since it didn't really seem to matter to me how far along I was & to reduce the chance of infection & I won't allow it this time either.

But the point is that you really can't tell when you're going to go into labor when you're told you're 1 cm dilated.
