Hi everyone, I'm a 24 y/o woman with pcos who has been anovulatory since ttc starting in sept 02. I did 2 rounds w/ gonal F (first cancelled due to overstimming). This past cycle was my 1st ovulatory cycle since starting ttc. I'm using crinone in the 2ww.

My bbts went triphasic at 11-12dpiui. I did a hpt (First Resp Early Result) and got a faint + at 12dpiui. Went for a beta yesterday (RE usually won't do til 14dpo but they said come in because of the +hpt) and the level was only 33.

The nurse practitioner said this was + and indicative of very early pg'cy. I told her I was only 12dpiui and she said they usuallly don't test that early (she's the one who suggested I come in however). My repeat beta isn't until 16dpiui because my RE won't do betas on weekends.

I've seen average 12dpo betas listed at 50 and 14dpo at 100. A few sites said 50 is normal at 14dpo. These sites also say the range can be quite large, from 17-100+ at 12dpo. However, I've come across very few women with such low initial beta numbers. I also think some who had very low initial #s probably just miscalculated ovulation, whereas I had a trigger and can be pretty sure I'm 12dpo.

DH and I are refraining from celebrating as it doesn't look good from my perspective. I know all I can do is wait til the repeat.

Could late implantation (would this correlate w/ temps going triphasic?) cause a lower beta? IS it more likely this will not be a viable pg'cy than it will be? Has anyone gone on to have subsequently good beta numbers after such a low initial beta early on?
