Re: Marcia... Re: trying to concieve first baby at 35......From: marcia (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 11 Jun 2003 15:37:39 -0500 (CDT)
I don't think my repsonse will post. It all went blank. So I am writing it again. Please forgive me if it is a repost. An IUI is when my hubby gets to have a "Tupperware Party".... A date with "Tuppy" is what I call it. We retrieve his sperm at home and then take it to the doc for insemination preparation. Then the doc bypasses my cervix using a tool called a Tomcat. She sends in the troups. My hubby has an excellent count, but we are doing IUI and clomid just becuase of my age. It is suppose to increase my chances. It is how I conceived my one year old one month after my first lapersocopy. You might question your doc about having your endo lazered. If it is bad enough, it could be preventing both ovulation and fertilization. I don't think the IVF would work if your endo is severe. But then I am not a doctor. However, as you know it is best to be well informed about things like this. It will keep your doctor on their toes for you. Laperoscopies should be covered by insurance if they are done for pain, or for endo. I wish you babies. Keep me posted. What is btw??
